• Ni Hao! Caroline's mother, Ms. Heath, gave a truly enjoyable presentation to the students of 1905 about Caroline's native land, China. Caroline and her mom dressed in traditional Chinese clothing and taught the children all about the Chinese New Year. Thanks again to Ms. Heath for enriching our Chinese New Year celebration.
• Ms. Denise's class was treated to a wonderful presentation on Brazil. Pietra's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marchetti, and Anna Clara's mother, Ms. Borges, shared their rich, colorful cultures with the class. The children sampled homemade Brazilian chocolates and yummy homemade cheese bread. It is always great to learn about our students' heritage.
• We would like to thank Mrs. Thatcher and her son Eric for giving Ms. Ali's class a wonderful presentation on Spain. The kids really enjoyed Manchego cheese and tasty oranges. They even learned a few new Spanish words. Que divertido!

• Mr. Clement, Kaden and Kennedy's father, visited Mrs. Ali and Ms. Sunita's classes just in time for Memorial Day to speak with us about his work with the U.S. Air Force. About Us
Northwest Montessori House of Children, INC.
From its founding in 1984, under the direction of Ms. Shireen De Silva, Northwest Montessori House of Children has been privileged to witness the growth and development of over a thousand students and watch as they continue their education with confidence in their own abilities and potential. Over the years, we have expanded to include three campuses with students ranging from 18 months to 6 years old under the guidance of over twenty dedicated and passionate teachers. At Northwest Montessori we whole-heartedly believe that a school is a family and that our children are best educated by a community of students, parents, and faculty. We intentionally keep the school environment intimate and the class sizes small. Our classrooms are fully equipped with time-tested Montessori materials and educational tools, and each of our campuses has a large, fully shaded playground. We utilize the Montessori method of education, which aids in the accelerated development of your child, further enhancing his or her knowledge and self-esteem. The Montessori method encourages all children to develop their own skills at a pace they set and is rooted in a core belief that education should not only impart knowledge, but must always strive to unlock human potential.
Northwest Montessori is dedicated to creating an enriching and challenging educational environment where each child is encouraged to reach their fullest potential academically, emotionally, and socially in an authentic Montessori school. Our mission is to develop within children active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and a genuine love of learning.

Parents' Reviews
"My daughter has grown into a lovely young lady at NW Montessori. She is smarter and more confident now."
"We are always amazed (but no longer surprised) when Liam beams with pride after he learns how to spell new words we didn't teach him at home. The teachers at NWM are not only talented and dedicated, they truly care about all their students."
"Over the years that my son has been at Northwest Montessori House of Children, we have come to love this school, and would recommend it to all parents. What is best is that the teachers and staff seem to love what they do. Along with being firm with the children, they are friendly and affectionate, providing them with a loving, cheerful and encouraging environment. The science fair in my son's class this year was a truly amazing experience. Each of the 30+ children had their own experiment which they presented and shared with their families and some local experts. My son articulated the complete functioning of a doorbell with authority. We were amazing to see how much the children knew not only about their own experiments, but also those of their classmates. I have found that here at Northwest Montessori, they provide the children with a stimulating environment that truly hones their love for learning."
